LE 103 - Investigating Strangulation and "Choking" Cases 45 minutes
Strangulation is one of the most common crimes committed against DV victims. This training will focus on how to spot possible internal injuries that are not visible at the scene and encourages law enforcement to ensure that all strangulation victims receive medical attention. It will outline less obvious signs and symptoms of strangulation, 25 questions an officer can ask to detect strangulation, and help officers build a felony case against the batterer.

LE 104 - Stalking and Cyber Stalking 60 minutes
This training will define the crime of stalking, provide profiles of different kinds of stalkers, and discuss strategies for putting together a strong case. Training also includes working with the victim on safety planning, documenting future incidents, and counter-surveillance. Training also includes information on methods of technological spying through Spyware, GPS tracking devices, and cell phones used by batterers.

LE 105 - Determining Self-Defense and Predominant Aggressor 90 minutes
Trying to figure out whom to arrest when both parties claim injury is one of the hardest jobs a law enforcement officer faces. This training uses videotaped role plays to help officers determine who, if anyone, to arrest when there are reports of injuries to both parties. Training includes class discussion on Indiana's law on self-defense, defensive vs. offensive injuries, and why you shouldn't always arrest the party who hits first.
